Potty Training: The Best Books
Aaaah… Potty training. Now all that comes to mind for me is this lyric…“When you get that feeling down below, Listen to your body, go go go! When you get that feeling down below, Listen to your body, go go go! It’s potty time, it’s potty time. It’s potty time.”
I think most of us new parents can agree that the idea of potty learning/training is a very daunting one. There’s so much information out there; much of it is very conflicting. I feel like I spent weeks and weeks researching ways to go about teaching my son to use the potty and I still felt overwhelmed and a bit confused when it was time.
I still feel like it was a whirlwind. Potty learning/training had a lot of ups and downs for us. One day something would work great, the next we’d have to find a new way to help. It’s exhausting. BUT the one thing that consistently helped us was having books available about using the potty, as well as about poop.
We started by having books in a special potty basket, but slowly we spread them out to make them available to our son on his terms. We ended up leaving some in our living room, in his bedroom, and also in his special potty basket.
Below you’ll find a list of the best books for potty training!
